We’re looking for some volunteers for upcoming community events.

The Mill Woods President’s Council is looking for some Help for the 30th MWPC Canada Day Celebration. They are looking for the following positions:

Entertainment Assistant –  Mentored by long time organizer Dennis Emmerling to assist in booking the talent and components around the entertainment of Canada Day.  You will be required to attend monthly meetings and be on hand for the majority of the day managing the stage details

Community Representative – Responsible for organizing a community tent to represent the communities of South East Edmonton and their activities.  Should attend monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of the month.

Sponsorship Director – Responsible for acquiring sponsors for the event and following up with appropriate acknowledgement and gratitude.  Should attend monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of the month.

Site Assistant – Support the site director in finalizing site details as indicated in the budget.  Should attend monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of the month. Must be able to attend the entire event on July 1st including set up on June 30th, and be on site the entire event.

We’re also looking for 8-10 volunteers for the Big Bin Event, happening on May 7, 2022. Volunteer shifts are 8:30am – 1:30pm & 1:30 – 4:30 pm plus we have a few additional needs;
1. Watch the bins Friday night from 5:00 – 8:00 pm
2. Be on site at 7:00am to relieve the guard.
3. Have a truck and be in charge of the U-Haul trailer.  This would involve picking it up Friday night from 51st Avenue location to be on site to collect the items to go to the Eco centre then drive that the Eco station, unload the items and return the trailer.
