Christmas Tree Disposal Changes
Planning to decorate with a natural Christmas tree this holiday season?
Christmas tree disposal is changing in Edmonton this year. After the holidays, residents can drop off their natural Christmas tree, free of charge, at the Edmonton Waste Management Centre, or an Eco Station or Recycling Depot near them. Trees will no longer be collected at the curb.
Before dropping off your tree after the holidays, please ensure all ornaments, decorations and lights are removed. Residents can also donate decor in good condition to the Reuse Centre and bring any broken or non-working lights or electronics to an Eco Station for safe disposal.
