Our Neighbourhood in Bloom: Celebrating Beautiful Yards and Gardens in Knottwood

This season, we’re celebrating the gardens and gardeners of Knottwood through the new yard recognition program Our Neighbourhood in Bloom hosted in conjunction with the Edmonton Horticultural Society and EFCL!

The program honors the creativity, care, and community spirit residents pour into their yards, alley gardens, and local business spaces. We’re recognizing both the beautiful spaces and the hardworking residents behind them—one beautiful space at a time.

We can recognize 75 yards/spaces in Knottwood – 25 for each of the Ekota, Menisa and Satoo neighbourhoods. Volunteers will be delivering recognition cards and Neighbourhood in Bloom lawn signs to celebrate these efforts.

Nominate Your Neighbours!
Individuals can nominate up to 10 homes/businesses that brighten our community. Alley gardens, front yards, and businesses are all welcome! Nominations are open now until Thursday, August 29 at 8 PM, and homes must be within Knottwood boundaries: 91 St – 66 St, 23 Ave – Anthony Henday.

Fill out the form below – you’ll need the address and a photo, you can also share a message about why you think the yard, garden or space should be nominated.

Volunteers Needed
We’re also looking for volunteers to help deliver lawn signs. Volunteering is a great way to meet new neighbours, spread positivity, and put smiles on people’s faces.

If you’d like to volunteer or have questions, email Kimberly at programs@knottwoodcommunity.ca
