For over 25 years, Rosa Little has been a strong supporter of our Knottwood Community League and is one of our longest standing members and volunteers. So much so, in fact, she was recently awarded a Knottwood Community Lifelong membership as a thank you for all of her support and work over the years.

In the past few years, Rosa increased her presence in the community by accepting the position of Gaming Director on our board of directors.

As Gaming Director, Rosa is a constant conduit for information and aid in relation to our Bingo initiatives and she successfully tackles the time consuming tasks of organizing our casinos.  Both the casinos and bingos are an integral part of the fundraising efforts for the New Community League Centre project which is in the works, and with her at the helm to guide these major gaming initiatives, our dreams for a community gathering centre will become reality.

Her quick wit and realistic outlook truly aid in all of our Board initiatives.  Her enthusiasm for the community, and that of the Board is unparalleled.  We are very fortunate to have her continue to help make Knottwood a great place to live.

About

Name: Rosa Little
Position on the Board: Gaming Director

How long have you been a resident?
I’ve lived in the Knottwood community since 1990, with my family, which I raised here.

How long have you been a volunteer on the board?
I’ve been a volunteer with the league for 28 years and have been on the board for the past 1.5 years.

Why do you choose to volunteer and why do you dedicate your time to us?
I love volunteering as I meet people in my community and get to know my neighbours.

What is your favourite part of living on Knottwood?
My favourite part of living in the Knottwood community is we have everything close to us: hospital, police, fire, highways, malls, stores, banks and especially schools for our children.  I love the ability to park on the road in front of my home, parks, walkways, and the beautiful mature neighbourhood. I love the quietness of the community.

What do you do as a career?
I’m a secretary and casual unit clerk at the hospital.

What do you like to do for fun?
I like volunteering, netflix, reading, and, my faith is a very important foundation of my life. What a pleasure for me to serve in this fabulous community.  I hope to keep meeting my community family, along with excellent board of my community league which I serve.
