Hailey joined us two years ago after attending our AGM. She came in to learn about the League and meet some of the people of the community but ended up leaving with an acceptance of our Vice President 1 position, a role in which she has been eager and energetic in providing fantastic value ever since.
A quick wit, a young and enthusiastic view, her sensibility, along with her many contributions have helped us succeed in each and every one of our endeavours. Her abilities to lead, organize and articulate operations of our ventures have been a major part of our program and event successes. Even when it came to the mundane task of Bylaw reviews or applying for the implementation of Greenshack and Summer camps, she was happy to commit to these tasks with immediacy and accuracy, again aiding us all immensely.
Hailey’s aptitude to simplify and execute processes comes seemingly easy to her, and although many of her contributions are completed in the background with little fanfare, her efforts should be acknowledged as being an integral part to our present and future move forward with the concepts of community revitalization.
Her continued commitment and immense value to the role, her representation of the Board, the friendships she has effortlessly created, and her uncanny ability to lessen some of the immense burdens associated with our initiatives, all continue to be greatly appreciated by the community and by her friends on the Board.

Why do you choose to volunteer and why do you dedicate your time to us:
I have always had a passion for volunteering and wanted to meet more people in Knottwood. Being on the board has allowed me to meet so many great minds who also want to better this community while having fun doing it!
What is your favourite part of living in Knottwood:
We moved to Knottwood because we wanted to live in an established neighbourhood. I love that there are plenty of schools within walking distance and no shortage of friendly neighbours!
What do you do as a career:
Accounts Receivable for Lafarge.
What do you like to do for fun:
I love travelling, a good true crime podcast, and petting any & all animals!
