The Knottwood Community League runs the Ekota Rink located at 1415 Knottwood Rd. East during the winter months.

Winter Skate times:


Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday – 5 to 9 pm
Wednesday – 5 to 7 pm for general public. Rink rentals from 7 to 9 pm. If no rental, the rink is open to all.
Saturday – 10am to 9:00pm
Sunday – 11 am to 7 pm

Rules:

  • No skating when temperatures are above -2 degrees Celsius or below -20 (includes windchill).
  • No skating when rink attendant is not on duty. If the lights are not on and the building is not open during these opening hours, the ice is not open.
  • Helmets are required for anyone under the age of 18. They are also recommended for adults.
  • Skaters under the age of 8 must be actively supervised by a responsible person aged 13 or older

Cost:

FREE for Community League Members (any league) – You will need a skate tag to use the ice. Please contact: membership@knottwoodcommunity.ca if you did not receive skate tags when you purchased your Knottwood membership.

$3/per person for non-members

$5 for a 2019-20 skate tag (expires August, 2020)

Memberships and skate tags will be available for sale at the rink shack.

To purchase a membership for the year (Sept – August) –

$25 for family, $15 for Seniors, and $10 for individuals. You can now purchase your Knottwood Community League membership online on our secure website via PayPal or at any Servus Credit Union location.

Rink Rentals

The rink will be available for rent on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost to rent is $75. We require all bookings to be made two weeks in advance. Contact president@knottwoodcommunity.ca for more info.
