In efforts to help make Knottwood more walkable, our community league is looking into running a bench program for all residents of Ekota, Menisa and Satoo to get involved in.
A big thank you to Kim Buehler, the Executive Director of the South East Edmonton Seniors Association for joining us in March to tell us all about how she launched a successful bench program in conjunction with the community league in her Holyrood neighbourhood last year.
What started out as a project to help provide a more walkable neighbourhood for seniors by giving them places to sit and rest, turned into an initiative that the community as a whole took part in.
