A dedicated volunteer for the Knottwood Community League (and also the Mill Woods Cultural and Recreational Facility Association), Chantell is a very long serving member of our Knottwood community. She has been volunteering her time with our community league for 16 years in various roles, and currently holds the position of Treasurer. Chantell is the backbone of our Board: with her accounting background and her immense experience with the league, Chantell is truly the glue that binds us.
Over her many years with the KCL Board, Chantell has mentored new Board members, provided guidance to ensure our success, and has always kept our initiative for a new Community Centre at the forefront of our thoughts throughout our community revitalization period.
The past year has been especially onerous for the Treasurer role, considering the numerous renovations we’ve experienced and with building our Kinder School and Out of School Care program. All of her efforts continue to ensure the KCL Board will have a strong, fulfilling, and bright future.
She has touched each and every one of us in a positive manner and we all hope to have her continue in her role for many more years.

Why do you choose to volunteer and why dedicate your time to us?: Initially, I volunteered to meet more people in the neighbourhood and then it was because I believe in giving back to my community.
What is your favourite part of living on Knottwood?: I feel safe here and it’s close to everything I need.

What do you like to do for fun?:Golf!!! Scrapbooking, reading and camping.
