NOTICE RE: Knottwood’s COMMUNITY LEAGUE DAY 2018: As this Year’s Community League Day was created as an outdoor event (which included a live band, beer gardens, and 4 huge bouncy castles), we have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel this Saturday’s event due to the cold and wet weather forecasted.
We would like to thank everyone that worked so very hard to organize this event and spent numerous hours planning, securing the rentals, bookings, and applying for the licensing. We’d also like to thank the community members that volunteered to work the various shifts throughout the day. All the efforts would have made for one of the best Community League Day events in recent history.
For anyone that was scheduled to volunteer, we will be happy to keep the offer of a free membership if you volunteer at another event throughout the year. Please email volunteer@knottwoodcommunity.ca for details.
Also, we’d like to acknowledge and send a big thank you to the Super 92, Greg Campbell Photography and to our sponsors — TELUS, MinuteMan Press – ELLERSLIE, Real Deal Meats, Sobeys – Millwoods, and ATCO. Without your valued support we could not have offered as much as we hoped.
We will create the same event next year and hope then to be able to thank Mother Nature for her support.
