DESCRIPTION:Drums Alive® is the original and only evidence-based drumming fitness/wellness program that has consistently produced life-changing results that have been scientifically verified. Drums Alive uses drumming\, music\, movement and science to make health and wellness more than just effective\, we make it irresistibly fun and totally engaging. “Everybody comes alive with Drums Alive!” This class can be done standing or sitting\, and with low or no impact. \nOctober 16 – November 20 (6 weeks)\nKnottwood Community Centre\, 449 Knottwood Rd W\, NW\n7 to 8 p.m.\nFor those aged 18 and above.\n\n$30 for CL members\n$40 for non-members\nRegister below. \nLearn more about Drums Alive here. \nParticipants will need to bring: \n\nAnti-burst exercise ball and stabilizer.\nSets of drumsticks will be available for purchase at the first class ($4.75 pr) or participants may bring their own.\nExercise ball- 65-75 cm size recommended\n\nFor those needing to purchase equipment here are some suggestions: \n \n75 cm Exercise ball with base or any local big box store \nBall base (amazon)\n\nOther suggestions for a ball stabilizer: \nJumpstart Bucket (Canadian Tire)\n\n\nWe will require a minimum of 10 participants for the class to run.

DESCRIPTION:Babysitting is a job with significant responsibility and this Babysitting Course\, taught by St. John Ambulance\, will help prospective babysitters learn the skills they need. \nThis course is for youth aged 11 to 15 years old. DESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to learn how to knit? Are you looking for a way to get out of the house and visit with your neighbours? \n\n\nThe Knottwood Community League is relaunching our Knitting Club!\n\nFor those who do not know how to knit\, we will host a three-week introductory knitting workshop starting on Wednesday\, October 25 where you will learn the basics and will learn to knit a one-skein chunky cowl.\n\n\nWednesday\, October 25\, November 1 & 8\n7 to 9 pm\nKnottwood Community Centre\, 449 Knottwood Rd West\, NW\n\nWe will be knitting a one-skein chunky cowl.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMaterials required:\n\none skein Super Bulky (6) yarn ~100 yards (eg. Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick)\,\ncircular knitting needle size US15 (10 mm) 16-inch long.\nOne stitch marker\, flexible tape measure\, darning needle for thick yarn\, scissors\, and a bag to keep your project.\n\n\nProject is lead by Allison Barnes\, Owner of Allison Barnes Yarns.\n\n\n\nPlease register for the workshop below.
