DESCRIPTION:Are you a young person between 11 and 15 looking to learn basic first aid and caregiving skills? Babysitting is a job with significant responsibility\, and this Babysitting Course\, taught by Little Lungs First Aid\, will help prospective babysitters learn the essential skills they need. \nThis course is designed for youth aged 11 to 15 years old and teaches them the necessary skills to provide care to children in various situations. \nCourse Content:\n\nHow to be responsible and demonstrate leadership\nHow to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviours\nInformation on children’s developmental stages and specific strategies for each stage\nHow to feed\, diaper\, dress\, and play with children and babies\nHow to recognize and prevent unsafe situations\, make safe choices\, and promote safe behaviours\nFirst aid skills\nThe business of babysitting\n\nTake-home Materials:\n\nBabysitter’s Manual\nCompletion Certificate\n\nDate: Sunday\, April 6th\, 2025\nTime: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM\nLocation: Knottwood Community Centre\nCommunity League Member Price: $72 per student\nNon-Member Price: $80 per student \nBring lunch and a bottle of water. \nPrerequisites: \n\nParticipants must be at least 11 years old.\n\nQuestions?
