DESCRIPTION:Join in games\, sports\, crafts\, music\, drama and special events. You’ll find a list of upcoming activities and special events posted on the side of the Green Shack each week. If there’s a game or activity that you’d like to play\, just ask the Program Leader. \nAges: 6-12 years\n(children under 6 must be supervised by a parent or guardian)\nCost: Free  \nPrograms are led by staff who: \n– Ensure participants play safely. Parents are responsible for their children at all times and must be available in the event of an emergency. \n– Are easily identifiable by their blue shirts and name tags and may be assisted by volunteer leaders in training.\n\n– Have completed a security clearance process\, are trained in first aid and are certified specialists in fun! \nProgramming is still available on rainy/snowy days but will be cancelled during severely inclement weather. \nFor more information\, please visit: edmonton.ca/dropincommunityprograms or call 311.

SUMMARY:St. John Ambulance Babysitting Course
DESCRIPTION:Calling all youths aged 11 years and older! Learn everything you need to know about babysitting. \nHosted by St. John Ambulance\, this babysitting course teaches participants basic lessons regarding the proper care of infants and children\, how to prevent injuries\, hazardous product symbols\, and what to do in emergencies such as a fire\, a prowler. a gas leak\, a power failure\, or a storm. Moreover\, the course teaches young people the First Aid lessons and techniques for choking and CPR\, among others. Participants will leave with a certificate. \nSaturday\, January 20th\n 9am-4pm\n Knottwood Community Hall\n Participants will need to bring a nut-free bagged lunch\n Cost: $50/person \nTo register\, email programs@knottwoodcommunity.ca
